Luncheon: Green Products and the New REGREEN Guidelines
The Missouri East Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and The St. Louis Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) Co-present "A Green Residential Remodeling Luncheon: Green Products and the New REGREEN Guidelines."
Victoria Schomer, ASID, LEED AP, is one of the REGREEN program's authors. Using case studies, knowledge and examples available in the REGREEN Guidelines, Victoria will teach a CEU - entitled "What Shade of Green is this Product". This course will help to assess what makes a product really Green -- and how to identify and avoid the growing problem of "green washing."
Rick Hunter, LEED AP and managing principal of a local leading Green Construction Company, will provide insight and experience into Green residential construction and renovation in the St. Louis metropolitan area. Rick has several years of hands on experience in developing and building sustainable properties in this market. Through real-world examples he will share his experiences of what to look for as well as what to avoid in the Green residential building industry -- further underscoring the value of a tool like the REGREEN Guidelines.
This presentation is part of ASID's Distinguished Speakers Series and CEU Credit will be available for those who qualify.
