Supervisor, Education Programs at EarthWays Center a division of the Missouri Botanical Garden

Under direct supervision of the Manager, EarthWays Center is responsible for coordinating team development and delivery of all EarthWays Sustainability Education Programs. Evaluates existing materials and develops and coordinates new materials and program evaluations and assessments. Responsible for expanding EarthWays educational efforts. Collaborates with US Green Building Council ’s St. Louis Regional Chapter to implement national Green Schools. Supervises education staff as well as recruits, trains and schedules interns to support site programming.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in education, environmental education or science, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred. Three to five years experience in education program design, development and delivery required. Equivalent combination of education and experience considered would be considered. Ability to work with teachers and students in K-12, university and non-formal settings and familiarity with educational standards and teacher methodologies required. Experience in educational writing/editing, evaluation, development of program budgets, and grant writing required. Knowledge of state and national education standards and classroom techniques is a must. Strong verbal, written and organizational skills required.
